Hardly anyone today would like to do without all the benefits of modern technology. It is often requested, however, that possible consequences should be comprehensively examined, in order to assess positive and negative effects and to reduce the negative ones as far as possible.

TA-Swiss has taken on this task. Not only traditional TA-studies are made but also so called participative methods are used. This in order to include the citizens into the political decision-making process regarding new technologies. The main TA fields are: "Life sciences", "Information Society" and "Mobilty".
