Our Institute is primarily devoted to education and research in the field of biomedical engineering and tissue engineering. Courses are offered to students of the Engineering Sciences, Physics and Chemistry as well as within the framework of selected programmes to medical students. The majority of the research projects, in turn, are conducted in collaboration with clinical and/or industrial partners.

Although medical technology assessment and performance evaluation does not represent an immediate content of our education and research programme, associated considerations play an important role in most of our projects.
