23rd Annual Meeting of the Society for Medical Decision Making, San Diego/California, USA

Three areas are of special emphasis at this year's meeting: mental health, population-based medicine/public health and shared decision-making.

Attendees will hear and see original work from multiple areas, including health outcomes, clinical strategies, psychology of decision making, decision analytic and simulation methodology, utility assessment, education, and legal and ethical dimensions of health care decision making. As a novelty, prominent SMDM members volunteer their time to meet trainees and junior faculty members for a discussion of research ideas and career development.
