The Health Evidence Network (HEN) is an information service for public health and health care decision-makers in the European Region.

There is a growing need to get timely information for decision-making. The huge quantity of information and evidence available in the field of public health is dispersed among numerous databases and other sources.

HEN makes it easier for decision-makers and other interested parties to get rapid access to all of this in one place by providing summarized information from a wide range of existing sources - web sites, databases, documents, national and international organizations and institutions. HEN also replies to specific questions that public health decision-makers may have. After receiving the request, HEN mobilizes a team of experts who search for existing evidence in this area and use it to develop a synthesis report.
