SNHTA - Swiss Network for Health Technology Assessment
Health Technology Assessment (HTA) is the scientific evaluation of medical technologies regarding their effectiveness, appropriateness, efficiency as well as social and ethical aspects and implications.
HTA is bridging the gap between the worlds of Science and Politics. In times of general health budget restrictions, HTA becomes more and more important by providing political decisions-makers with timely, accurate and sound information on medical technologies.
The Swiss Network for Health Technology Assessment (SNHTA) brings together scientific institutions and experts to create information synergies and avoid duplication of work.
The network is an association according to Art. 60 - 79 of the Swiss Civil Code.
The By-Laws and the declaration of accession to the association can be found here.
Any organization or institution meeting the requirements as stated in the By-Laws can apply for network-membership.
